Donna, her goats, and her sweet old dog, Chester, were so enjoyable. Donna is very easy to talk to, honest and understanding.
It was a first time we visited Shenandoah and loved staying at the River Bluff Farm B&B! Donna and her husband were so wonderful and welcoming. Their farm with B&B is next to the creek - a quiet and tranquil environment. The home made breakfast (quiche, muffins, egg bake, fruit salad) was delicious and we even got to pet two baby goats that Donna is raising! I look forward to returning to the farm in near future!

River Bluff B&B is a well-located, comfortable place to stay and hosts Donna and Matt are so welcoming. They take great care in making sure their guests are well served, while at the same time, allowing them privacy. The WIFI worked great and the delicious breakfasts were homemade and differed each morning. Keuring coffee for us real early risers, prior to the breakfast coffee and meal, was much appreciated!
Convenient to Interstate 81, yet tucked away in a beautiful, private setting on a large, quiet property, this B&B is a great getaway.
I highly recommend River Bluff for a week long stay and bet it's even better when it's run as a B and B Donna makes you breakfast! :)
My wife and I had a wonderful time last weekend at the River Bluff Farm B&B. Everything was very clean, updated and nicely decorated. Our room on the top floor was very comfortable and had a large walk-in shower with a skylight. Coming downstairs for breakfast in the morning was very nice, as there are several rooms to sit in and sip coffee before breakfast. The breakfasts were outstanding - my personal favorite was a blueberry french toast casserole. I liked that there were many sitting areas for reading. The owners, Matt and Donna, were very welcoming and very knowledgeable about things to see and do in the area, and also have brochures available of nearby activities. We went to a nearby winery, a brewery, a potato chip factory (very cool) and Shenandoah Caverns - all nearby. Of course, we also enjoyed resting in Adirondack chairs overlooking the river - a very relaxing and quiet time. Good restaurants in nearby towns too. The location is very convenient - just off I-81. Will definitely return and would recommend to others.
We recently discovered that Shenandoah is the midpoint for our extended family. We booked a week long stay (Donna's first!) at River Bluff through AirBnB, not realizing that I could have just called her directly to book and saved some money on fees and hassle with communication through their website.
Thank you Donna and Matt for being such great hosts and for making our visit to River Bluff B&B so enjoyable and relaxing. We'll be back for sure!
We all had private bathrooms and even a convenient shared one in the living space. The showers are clean, new and beautiful and provided excitement for some of us with older homes. :)
It rained a lot during our stay and even more rain was predicted, which kept us "home" more than we'd planned. It was awesome having such a great setting to be "stuck" in. We took a canoe ride, got the ping pong table out, rocked on the covered back porch, had a fire in the fire pit right next to the river, hiked up to the view, saw the most intense firefly display of our lives (and that's saying a lot coming from the country)!!
The house is SO private in SUCH a beautiful area and SO full of character! We traveled with 2 babies and the separation of the kitchen and living area from the bedrooms and entryway was hugely helpful in maintaining quiet for sleepers.
This is a very quaint B &B. The owners are very friendly and super helpful when it comes to the areas amenities. This B&B backs up to a river with an abundance of fish. There is also a look out point you can hike to on the property that gives great views of the landscape. And if that doesn't encourage a stay, the breakfast is awesome!
